DEUTERONOMY 14

Questions:

*Baldness on your forehead [for the dead]?

*Significance of “shall not boil a goat in its mother’s milk”?

DEUTERONOMY 15

Observation: When slaves were released after 7 years of service, the owner is to “furnish” the slave with cattle and fruit from the vine. It’s kind of like the slave is getting paid for service.

  1. I always though the baby goat/milk thing was because it smacks of sadistic cruelty. Of course I don’t extend it as far as a prohibition on cheeseburgers…

I miss our talks. Hope you are well.
